Underwriting Facility Manager – Remote

Responsible for evaluating property insurance applications, assessing risk factors, and making informed decisions about coverage terms and premiums. The successful candidate will oversee the evaluation of insurance applications and the assessment of risk for various insurance products, as well as implement underwriting policies and strategies to achieve business goals. 10+ years of underwriting experience and 5+ years of commercial property lines insurance underwriting experience for an MGA or large carrier are both required. This is a remote position.

Account Associate – Remote

Member of the administration team whose role includes a combination of administrative responsibilities and entry-level production support. Independently works on a variety of duties, including assigned administrative tasks, handling binders and invoicing in the Agency Management system, and processing auto-renewal accounts. This is a remote position.

Account Manager – Remote

Uses independent judgment and discretion in support of their assigned production team. Fully responsible for the following: maintaining a renewal book of business, placing new business opportunities, and providing quotes and binders with complete knowledge and understanding of what is issued to our retail partners. Insurance experience a plus but not required. This is a remote position.

Compliance Technical Assistant – Fairview Park, OH & Remote

Under general supervision of the Compliance Director, the Compliance Technical Assistants’ primary responsibility will be to provide backup support to both the Compliance Specialist and Broker Compliance Specialist with tax requests and data entry into our Agency Management systems. Compliance monitoring and/or audit skills are a plus. This is a hybrid progressive position.

Account Executive – Renewals – Lisle, IL & Remote

This is a hybrid position.

Account Executive – New Business – Lisle, IL & Remote

We are looking for a competitive and reliable Account Executive – New Business to help us deliver insurance and related products to professional services firms with an unparalleled commitment to customer experience and operational efficiency. 2+ years of outbound sales experience is preferred. This is a hybrid position.

Associate – Payroll, Benefits, & Human Resources – Fairview Park, OH

Provides support in all areas of Human Resources, including accounting tasks, onboarding, employment record maintenance, development and training, and payroll preparation. This position will have a heavy focus on recruiting tasks. This will include being responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring talent for various positions within McGowan. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be highly organized, and have a strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. 2+ years of full life cycle recruiting experience is required. This is an office position.

Underwriter – Property/Casualty-Habitational Programs – Woodstock, MD

The Underwriter is responsible for underwriting, profitability, growth, and retention of new and renewal business that is consistent with underwriting strategies for assigned program. The Underwriter is accountable for managing a high-volume environment. In the role, they may act as a technical referral resource for less experienced Associate Underwriters and Underwriting Assistants. The Underwriter uses individual judgment and discretion to operate within authority levels as delegated by the Director of MPA. Associate degree and 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in insurance underwriting are required. This is a hybrid position.

Commercial Underwriter – Remote

Responsible for underwriting, profitability, growth, and retention of new and renewal business that is consistent with underwriting strategies for assigned program. The underwriter is accountable for managing a high-volume environment. In the role, may act as a technical referral resource for less experienced Associate Underwriters and Underwriting Assistants. Ensure underwriting quality and profitability through application of the appropriate level of underwriting analysis based upon risk complexity to accept, decline, and quote these accounts. 5+ years of demonstrated insurance underwriting experience and 3+ years of commercial lines of business experience are both required. This is a remote position.

Real Estate E&O Producer – Fairview Park, OH & Remote

Primary role is to solicit, market, and bind new real estate professional E&O business and renewal accounts. Duties include fostering the growth of the MPA carrier and retail relationships, as well as assisting the Real Estate E&O Program Manager and Managing Director in complying with brokerage procedures and guidelines. An active insurance license and demonstrated insurance experience is required. This is a hybrid position.

Account Manager – Eatontown, NJ

Responsible for assisting the department with underwriting projects. Expected to quickly learn the insurance systems used by McGowan to be successful. Tasks will be centered around excess liability underwriting facilities. Participates with the underwriter in the renewal and new business activities that support underwriting decisions. 2+ years of insurance experience is preferred. This is a hybrid position.
